B Runs A Marathon
B Runs A Marathon
Story
I have spent a great deal of time running lately. When you spend a great deal of time running you also spend a great deal of time thinking. I thought a lot about what I would endeavor to raise money and awareness for. (There really is an overwhelming PLETHORA of things...)
However, as I reflected on the nature of endurance running and having been inspired by some particularly beautiful people/stories in recent times as well as the lack of profile it tends to receive, the obvious choice this time around was clear --> Autism.
I'm not sure if you know much about it but my hope is that you'll be open to learning along with me.
So, on Sunday May 19 2013 I will attempt to run my FIRST EVER marathon and I'll run it to raise awareness and money for kids with Autism.
It's going to be an epic challenge for me (to say the least) but is ultimately nothing in comparison to living day to day with Autism.
As I step up to the line on raceday, it'd be HEAPS encouraging to know that I've helped you to learn more about it and that together we've raised money to help children with Autism reach their full potential!
If you are keen, please consider sponsoring $1 per KM - which will be $45 (provided I make it!)
